You may have noticed a 'taste profile' section in the description of every product on our site!
While that little guy in the chef's hat will give you some idea of the nuances in our different strains, the fact remains - kratom is a (very) bitter leaf.
Taken on its own, the taste of kratom is difficult to enjoy. Sharp, bitter, earthy, and sometimes even brackish, if one is expecting something like mushroom coffee, cacao, or unsweetened chocolate, they'll be in for an unpleasant surprise.
For the experienced kratom user, this comes part and parcel with the benefits of this super helper-outer of the botanical world. But for all who take kratom, whether they are experienced or new, the taste can make the overall experience harder to enjoy than they'd like.
So what's a person to do?
Below, we have compiled a short list of methods that are akin to Mary Poppins' "spoonful of sugar." While varying in their delightfulness, they're all tasteful. Ha ha.

Keep in mind that mixing kratom with tea, coffee, fruit, and even some food will make the effects stronger. Many things we eat and drink are potentiators (meaning they maximize the effects of herbs and their benefits), so if you choose to mix your powder with an ingestible, make sure to adjust your dosage accordingly!
Happy leaf-ing!
